Theatre: The Acting Basics

Classes for Youth / Arts & Music -
Summer 2026- Youth

Grades 1-5. Play, pretend, and perform—your theatre adventure starts here! Explore three key actor tools: voice, body, and imagination, and discover the secrets to commanding the stage with confidence and creativity. Class culminates with a 15-minute performance.

Sliding Fees: Most classes include sliding-fee options designed to provide financial flexibility for community members who may need support in order to participate. We encourage participants to choose the amount they are able to pay. This model helps ensure our programs remain financially sustainable while also promoting equity and increasing accessibility for all members of our community.

Locally Grown Theatre

The mission of Locally Grown Theatre is to plant the seed of theater; to cultivate the inner artist in youth; to nurture the love of theatre arts within the community; to grow artists, of all ages, through experimentation in multiple theatrical forms.
