This small‑group, hands‑on course introduces technical directing, switcher operation, camera coordination, and essential studio equipment. SPNN's mission is to empower people to use media and communications to make better lives, use authentic voice, and build common understanding. Since 1984 SPNN has been a space for community members to create content that is reflective of the Twin Cities, especially underserved communities including BIPOC & LGBTQ+ individuals. SPNN staff provide programs and classes to help youth and adults learn media-making and storytelling skills and our cable channels and social media are a platform to share those stories with local communities
