The Power of Portraiture
Together we will demystify the self-portraits of some of the world’s most fascinating painters, like Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Frida Kahlo. We’ll also uncover mysteries hidden in the portraits of powerful people from history like Marie Antoinette, Andy Warhol, and Michelle Obama. Some of the artists we’ll discuss include Elisabeth Vigee Le Brun, Alice Neel, Amy Sherald and more!
Adrienne H. Lee
Instructor
Adrienne H. Lee is an art historian and writer who is brand new to Minnesota. Known publicly as The Wandering Art Historian, she spent the last eight years giving lectures, teaching classes, and hosting art-inspired book club discussions all over the state of Florida. Ms. Lee is an avid reader and writer of both fiction and non-fiction, and she published her debut novel in January of 2024.
