Chain pull painting, also known as chain drag painting or fluid painting, is a contemporary art technique that involves pouring a mixture of paint and medium onto a (16x20) canvas. The process involves mixing various colors of acrylic paints with a pouring medium. This artwork is often vibrant, abstract, and full of unexpected texture and movement. All supplies included. -
Pet Collage (Adult+Child)
One adult and one child, ages 8-15. Register under the name of the child. Work together to turn your pet into a pawsome work of art. Use magazine scraps, pre-printed images of your pet, and acrylic matte medium to create a one-of-a-kind 11x14" collage. Learn tips and tricks, then tear, cut, and glue your way through a fun hands-on session where your furry friend comes to life--paper-style! Adult/child pair will work on one pet image together. You pick the image you'd like to recreate and all other materials and instruction will be provided. Images sent to instructor for printing before class start date. -
Blacksmith Fundamentals: Bottle Openers
Ages 16 and up. Begin building your blacksmith skills by forging your own bottle opener! Bottle openers are quick to make and can incorporate all the basic blacksmithing processes into one compact project. End class with a celebratory bottle-opening to try out your new tool (that means a beer or soda is included!). Please note the following before registering: *Wear closed toe shoes/work boots and dress in layers. Wear natural fiber clothing with long sleeves and pants. *It is recommended that you bring your own work gloves and safety glasses. If you can't, there will be some to use; you will be asked to help sanitize them after use. *Bring a water bottle as it can get hot in the shop, especially during the summer months -

Get acquainted with working a torch and Italian soft glass. Learn safety protocol, tool and equipment use, and beginner flameworking techniques. All essential oils and most colorants are foraged by the instructor; items that cannot be foraged are purchased from a local Dakota medicine shop.
