  • CAHOOTS Summer Correspondence Program - Workbook Only

    This selection is for workbooks only. Participants recruit their own reflection buddy from their family or community—such as a grandparent, neighbor or peer! Workbooks are sent to registrants in the mail mid June. Make Learning Fun this Summer with Cahoots - Cahoots is a self-led summer educational program that sharpens academic skills, fosters independence and promotes self-reflection. - Cahoots workbook s include a robust review of math and language arts concepts for youth entering kindergarten through 6th grade. - Memorable Cahoots characters conspire with kids to make learning fun. - Lessons support creative problem solving with activities for kids to think, draw, write and take action. - Families or youth check their own answers online (answer packets can be emailed by request). - At the end of each lesson, kids track their progress, reflect on their learnings, and send/receive feedback and encouragement from a reflection buddy via mail!

    Cahoots is a summer pen pal program, supporting learning and reflection skills. Memorable workbook characters -- Hoots, Boots, Marina, Stevie and Walter -- guide you through a self-paced preview of the upcoming school year. Reflection Buddy pen pals provide encouragement and responses to your work. Register for the grade level you'll enter in the Fall. Participants receive: A fun, 8-lesson workbook to help preview Math and Language Arts material from the upcoming school year. Weekly reflections and a reflection buddy. A completion prize if you complete all 8 lessons! Most classes include sliding-fee options designed to provide financial flexibility for community members who may need support in order to participate. We encourage participants to choose the amount they are able to pay. This model helps ensure our programs remain financially sustainable while also promoting equity and increasing accessibility for all members of our community.

    Cahoots is a summer pen pal program, supporting learning and reflection skills. Reflection Buddy pen pals provide encouragement and responses to your work. Participants receive: A fun, 6-lesson workbook to help review Math and Language Arts material. Weekly reflections and a Reflection Buddy. A game board and game piece to track progress. A completion prize if you complete all 6 lessons Most classes include sliding-fee options designed to provide financial flexibility for community members who may need support in order to participate.
