Family Literacy allows parents and children to attend school together. Adults work on English Language Learning (ELL), and participate in parent education, while their children experience an early childhood education. Caregivers learning English attend 2 days a week with their children, who have not yet started Kindergarten. Get acquainted with working a torch and Italian soft glass. Learn safety protocol, tool and equipment use, and beginner flameworking techniques. Build confidence exploring glass manipulation, shaping techniques and surface decoration. Leave class with 4-6 beads. Please note the following before registering: *Wear closed toe shoes/work boots and dress in layers. Wear natural fiber clothing with long sleeves and pants. *It is recommended that you bring your own work gloves and safety glasses. If you can't, there will be some to use; you will be asked to help sanitize them after use. *Bring a water bottle as it can get hot in the shop, especially during the summer months

Try something thrilling without pressure. Our goal is to familiarize students with the flying trapeze and spend four weeks building skills and soaring through the air! Our goal will be two swing on the high trapeze and perhaps even make a mid-air catch! We will work on circus specific skills as well as muscle conditioning and stretching.
