Nature Discovery Pre-KSaint Paul Public Schools Nature Discovery Pre-Kindergarten is a fee-based program offering both full and 1/2 day Pre-K options, with extended day and after-school childcare options through Discovery Club (DC). Nature Discovery Pre-K class is open to children that turn 3 years old by September 1 and are not Kindergarten eligible. Nature PreK provides licensed teachers and curriculum that focuses on learning in a nature-based setting as well as bringing nature into the classroom. This program will run on the Saint Paul Public Schools calendar. 2026-27 Nature PreK Registration is Open!! 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR INFORMATION 2026-27 CLASSES & FEES: Afterschool childcare is available at both sites for Pre-K students 4 years old by September 1. Please see spps.org/discoveryclub for more information. 2026-27 REGISTRATION GUIDELINES Enrollment is not guaranteed and is based on space availability. Once you complete the online registration, you will be put on a “pending approval status” in the order the registration is received. Your credit card will not be charged for the registration fee until your child is confirmed in the program. Once you are approved, you will receive an email confirmation and your credit card will be charged the registration fee. Annual preschool registration requires a non-refundable fee of $79. After registrations meet the maximum number, additional registrations go onto the waitlist and if space becomes available, you will be notified. Monthly tuition is processed on the first Friday of each month. CANCELLATION POLICY: When you register for preschool you are registering for the entire school year: Sept.-May. Cancellation midyear requires a 1-week written notice and a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel between June 30-August 1 you will be charged a $75 cancellation fee. If you cancel on or after August 1, 2026, you will be responsible for the first month FULL tuition. AFTER SCHOOL CARE Discovery Club is available to students aged 4 and older (by September 1). Summer 2026 Registration Dates: March 9th at 9:00am - Open registration begins for incoming and returning families _________________________________________________________________________________ Registration Information Contracts (accepted or pending) do not carry over from summer to school year or year to year. All families, including families on the wait list, must register annually for any future care. Registrations will be reviewed in the order that they were received by our online system, and could take up to 10 business days to process. In order for a registration to be processed, all program balances must be paid in full. Accounts with a balance overdue will not be processed. Students must be enrolled and attending in the St. Paul Public School District in order to receive Discovery Club child care services. (We do not offer care to out-of-district students in our program during the school year. This includes families who live within the district boundaries but attend a charter or private school.) 2026-2027 Child Care Rates Families can select before school care, after school care, or a combination based on your child’s school schedule. Days of care may range from three to five days per week, per care session. Contracted days must remain the same for each week. Non-Refundable Registration Fee: $49.00/child/contract charged at the time that the contract is accepted. Online enrollments MUST include at least one adult AND one child (Look for the "Relationships" button). Children's birthdates should be between Sept 2, 2024 and Sept 1, 2025. Registrations received after 10/16/2026 will be held until the first class of the next month. Ones classes will create a separation plan that works for the majority of the group.
