55+ Driver Discount ProgramDriving Classes for 55+For motorists 55 years of age and older. Explore changes in traffic laws and traffic safety, the latest vehicle technology, and easy-to-use defensive driving and accident-prevention tips. Completion of these courses will produce approximately a 10% decrease in your car insurance. Starting July 1st, 2024, there is no longer a requirement for an 8 hour initial course. WaitlistA Taste of BlacksmithingArt & MusicAges 18 and up. Hammer in hand, iron heated in the coal forge, anvil at the ready, strike up a new skill in blacksmithing. Spend the day creating a hand-forged project to take home; S-hook or a drive hook. No previous experience necessary. Bring basic safety equipment to class- see below. Safety Equipment: safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing of natural fiber with no cuffs or fraying, cotton or leather gloves and closed-toe leather boots or shoes. Enrollment in summer Discovery Club is not considered a currently enrolled contract. Summer 2026 Registration Dates: March 9th at 9:00am - Open registration begins for incoming and returning families _________________________________________________________________________________ Registration Information Contracts (accepted or pending) do not carry over from summer to school year or year to year. All families, including families on the wait list, must register annually for any future care. Registrations will be reviewed in the order that they were received by our online system, and could take up to 10 business days to process. In order for a registration to be processed, all program balances must be paid in full. Accounts with a balance overdue will not be processed. Students must be enrolled and attending in the St. Paul Public School District in order to receive Discovery Club child care services. (We do not offer care to out-of-district students in our program during the school year. This includes families who live within the district boundaries but attend a charter or private school.) 2026-2027 Child Care Rates Families can select before school care, after school care, or a combination based on your child’s school schedule. Days of care may range from three to five days per week, per care session. Contracted days must remain the same for each week. Non-Refundable Registration Fee: $49.00/child/contract charged at the time that the contract is accepted. Before School Offered for students who attend schools with an 8:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. start time 6:30 - 8:30 a.m. $12.60/day $63.00/week 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. $18.85/day $94.25/week After School Starts at the end of the school's regular day and goes until 6:00 p.m. Snack provided 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. $25.15/day $125.75/week 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. $18.85/day $94.25/week 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. $12.60/day $63.00/week Drop-in days add $5.00/session/day; available to children currently enrolled and subject to space available. Artful Parenting (B-K)Specialty Classes (B-K)Connect with other families with young children (birth to kindergarten) through the arts. Playfully engage in art, including visual arts, performing arts, and more. Parenting time includes exploration of how the arts can help children grow both in their academic and social/emotional learning. Online enrollments MUST include at least one adult AND at least one child (look for the "Relationships" button). This class requires a higher budget for supplies, when compared to other ECFE programs. Participants will be asked to consider a donation ($25 per semester). Donations are optional but appreciated from all who are able to contribute.
